Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading program for 4th and 5th grade students across the state. The purpose is to encourage students to read good books and have fun while doing so. Students will read from a pre-selected list of books .
Students who have read a sufficient number of books are eligible to participate in weekly practices leading up to our school level Battle of the Books competition in December. Afterwards, students have the option to take a 2 part quiz to try and earn a spot on the Ogden Stingray Battle of the Books Travel Team. Students with the top 6 scores will be named to the team. These students will be required to attend the weekly practices leading up to the district level competition in March.
